Will Munroe, Principal, ClearIntent: Sites That Sell
An accomplished Web consultant, Will Munroe brings a unique and valuable perspective to Web design: Web sites and wireless applications should do more than inform, they should actively persuade customers to buy your products or hire your firm.
Will adds consumer psychology and retail anthropology (the study of how we shop) to proven methods of software design. By accounting for consumer motivation, Will has pioneered the design of e-commerce experiences that drive online buying.
Beginning with software engineering for the financial and entertainment sectors over fifteen years ago, Will has since designed and implemented interfaces for projects ranging from electronic banking applications to public telephones and games. He has led projects for Immersant (Bowne Internet), CIBC, Battle Mountain Gold, Noranda Mining and Exploration, the Disney-McDonalds Alliance and The Canadian Film Centre.
Will holds a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Toronto, where he graduated with distinction in 1990.
Will has been a guest speaker and seminar leader on Web design principles at Ryerson University, the Canadian Film Centre's New Media Program, the BAI conference and The Society of Design Administration (at both local and national levels).
